General summary

Collaborates to develop and enhance the Center for English Language and Culture for International Students (CELCIS) program. Assists with non-academic programming and delivers comprehensive services to students.

Major duties

  • Assists with developing instructional programs, coordinating faculty professional development, and onboarding faculty.
  • Assists with class scheduling, teaching assignments, and materials management.
  • Provide support to faculty, coordinate substitute instructors, and assist with program accreditation requirements.
  • Participates in campus outreach and committee work; represent CELCIS and participates in committee work both within the unit and across campus.
  • Assists with CELCIS student services and co-curricular activities, including advising for prospective and current students, orientation programming, admissions and immigration processes, course registration, cultural activities, retention and student success initiatives, and student records.
  • Provides support in developing and implementing short-term and custom programming.
  • Maintains communication with CELCIS agents, liaisons, sponsors, and partners.
  • Assists with managing CELCIS marketing materials and website.
  • Assist with overseeing the CELCIS budget.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience .
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
