Dr. Andrea Berto has published a new book titled La Guerra, La Violenza, Gli Altri e la Frontiera Nella “Venetia” Altomedievale with Pisa University Press.

The book examines war, violence, perceptions of the “other,” and the frontier in early medieval Venice from the 6^th to 10^th centuries. Instead of reconstructing events of the period, the book examines these topics through the lens of the history of the “mentalities.”
